We are all looking to succeed in life, but rarely do we look at how to increase our capacity. Neither at home nor in school have we learned how to deal with stress, manage our emotions, or tap into our full potential.
During this mini-workshop, we will get a short glimpse of that potential:
•Calm the mind with a 2-min breathing exercise
•Enjoy an effortless guided meditation for deep rest
•Explore the remarkable body-breath-mind connection
Join New Americans Museum for Sudarshan Kriya Yoga (SKY), a breath-based meditation based yoga lead by SKY facilitator Aditi Chawla. Aditi will lead us through an hour long meditative yoga practice using breathing techniques starting with chair based yoga. Feel free to bring your own mats and wear comfortable clothes. Please arrive at 6:15pm to check in. $5 drop in at the door.
There will be a special after hours viewing of the exhibition Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape the Nation after class from 7:30pm to 8pm.
